The Indonesian Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) Mercedes-Benz Indonesia is certain to provide 2 (two) units of Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard models as Presidential VVIP class vehicles.
In addition to deciding on a presidential car, the Ministry of State Secretariat has also prepared a new official vehicle for ministers from the Working Cabinet members, ministerial level officials, chair / deputy chairman of the MPR, DPR, and DPD.
From the results of the direct appointment system for the car category of officials including equivalent ministers, former presidents and vice presidents, it was decided by PT Astra International Tbk-TSO as the winner to provide 101 Toyota Crown 2.5 HV G-Executive cars.
Through a written statement by the Deputy Assistant (Asdep) of the Ministry of State Ministry of Public Relations, Eddy Cahyono Sugiarto, the procurement of official cars is only done because currently the condition of the vehicles used is often damaged and inefficient and is not suitable for use by state officials.
"It requires high maintenance costs so that it needs to be rejuvenated with technical considerations such as safety, reliability, and maintenance costs which are increasingly expensive due to age of use," reads a written statement.
The 2019 Ministry of State Secretariat's Budget Implementation Entry List (DIPA) has also been discussed and has been approved by the DPR. This is in accordance with Law Number 12 of 2018 concerning the State Budget for the 2019 Budget Year.
"The vehicle procurement is carried out through a public tender mechanism using the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) system or online," he explained.
